In fall 2015, EQUΔLΔTERΔL had the pleasure of participating in ART of the MOOC: Merging Public Art and Experimental Education, a socially-engaged public art project and survey course on the subject offered by Duke University and Creative Time. Exploring topics ranging from aesthetics and cultural institutions to activism, radical pedagogy, and spatial politics, students had the opportunity to become active participants, producing and critiquing weekly social practice projects. True to form, our members worked both independently and collaboratively throughout, focusing projects on issues of commodification, gender expression and gentrification, among others.
